Sustainability at reXtore
reXtore's Sustainability Policy focuses on circular design, zero waste, sustainable sourcing, and energy efficiency. We prioritize modular, reusable products and events with minimal waste, using sustainable materials and certified suppliers. Biodiversity is supported by using native plants, and local sourcing strengthens communities and cuts emissions. Compliance, continuous improvement and innovation are central to our approach to ensure transparency and accountability in our sustainability efforts.
Our sustainability efforts focus on five key areas:
Waste Management
Minimization: reXtore strives to reduce waste generation by 40% by adopting lean manufacturing principles and efficient material usage.
Reusability: reXtore designs exhibition stands with modular components that can be easily disassembled and reused for future events. The company promotes the use of sustainable materials that have a longer lifecycle.
Circular Design: reXtore utilizes circular design principles to design out waste.
Modular Products: reXtore uses modular, highly reusable products made from sustainable materials to ensure minimal waste is generated following an event. The company always aims to create zero waste spaces.
Recycling: recycling is reXtore’s last resort. The company implements a comprehensive recycling program for all remaining materials used in exhibition stands, including wood, metal, and plastics. It partners with recycling companies to ensure proper disposal and reuse. If it cant be reused or recycled reXtore doesn’t design it in.
Staff Contribution: Employees are encouraged to minimize waste by using digital documents instead of printed ones, participating in recycling programs, and suggesting innovative ways to reduce material usage.
Water Conservation
Currently reXtore uses very little water for the production of our products.
We are however soon to be creating a new sustainable product, made from recycled plastic & fabric waste. There will be water required in the production of these products. The two factories we have audited, use rainwater harvesting method to collect the water for production, reducing their reliance on ground water.
Carbon Management
Reduction Goals: reXtore aims to reduce carbon emissions by 30% over the next five years through energy-efficient designs and operations.
Energy Efficiency: The company utilizes renewable energy sources, such as solar panels, to power exhibition stands. It implements energy-saving technologies like LED lighting and smart energy management systems.
Transportation: reXtore minimizes its carbon footprint by optimizing logistics and transportation routes. The company encourages the use of electric or hybrid vehicles for transporting materials and staff.
Staff Contribution: Employees are encouraged to adopt energy-saving practices in the workplace, such as turning off lights and equipment when not in use, and to participate in carpooling or using public transportation.
Procurement
Sustainable Sourcing: reXtore prioritizes suppliers who adhere to sustainable practices and provide eco-friendly materials. For example, the company ensures that all wood products are sourced from certified sustainable forests (FSC / PEFC).
Ethical Standards: reXtore maintains high ethical standards by working with suppliers who follow fair labour practices and have a minimal environmental impact.
Local Suppliers: Whenever possible, reXtore sources materials from local suppliers to reduce transportation emissions and support the local economy.
Staff Contribution: Employees are encouraged to support sustainable procurement by selecting eco-friendly office supplies, advocating for ethical supplier practices, and participating in training sessions on sustainable procurement.
